Gamma Nu Omega Fundraisers

The Gamma Nu Omega Chapter continues to sponsor a community Easter-egg hunt, fitness day activity, and an ESP Kids Club at Arden Elementary. The Chapter continuously supports numerous civic and community organizations throughout the Columbia area. It is through its fundraising efforts that the Gamma Nu Omega Chapter has awarded over $300,000 in scholarships over the years to students in the Columbia Metropolitan area.

Pink Ice Gala (Annual)

The Pink Ice Gala is a major fundraiser for the Gamma Nu Omega Chapter and through the years the gala has helped raise over $400,000 in scholarship funds that have been awarded to deserving students in the Metropolitan Columbia area. Over the years, this renowned gala has become one of the most well attended events in the Midlands.  Each year, approximately 2000+ guests and sorority members participate in an extraordinary evening of fun and fellowship.

Fashionetta (Bi-Annual)

FASHIONETTA®, a trademark program of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., is a 6-month program which exposes our youth to educational, cultural, and social events as well as participation in community service projects. Held every two years and centered around the current International Program Theme.

The proceeds from the FASHIONETTA® are used by Gamma Nu Omega for its community service projects, scholarships, and educational and cultural activities for the contestants.

Gamma Nu Omega Scholarship (Annual)

Gamma Nu Omega’s scholarship initiative began in 1943 with a $25 scholarship award to a female high school graduate. In 1998, Gamma Nu Omega awarded its first scholarship to a male high school graduate. As of 2013, Gamma Nu Omega has awarded more than $430,000 in scholarships to high school graduates and college undergraduates.
